JOB DESCRIPTION- COMMERCIAL SALESPERSON

Summary/Objective
 
This position is responsible for the sale of the organization’s products in a specified region while providing ongoing support to clientele.
Job Functions

  • 1. Establish new customer contacts, prospect for leads, follow up on all assigned leads, and maintain contact with prospective and sold customers.
  • Salesperson will also be expected to assist in the collection of outstanding debts from clients. Actively participate in leads clubs, networking groups, chambers of commerce, or other trade organizations to generate new leads and contacts, and
    establish a presence in our customers’ industry. This may involve evenings or Saturdays for some events.
  • Fill out all necessary paperwork for the sale of new customers to include: Sales agreement, new customer information page, and any other materials as needed.
  • Communicate and/or assist technicians on the initial service of newly sold accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and complete computer records at all times. This includes customer information, follow ups, and all scheduled appointments. These records will be kept on both the handheld computer and also the desktop database, as well as being communicated each visit into the office.
  • Participate in educational and training programs in/out of the office, to stay up to date on all services we provide.

Essential Job Functions

  • Knowledge of pest services, procedures, materials and equipment.
  • Knowledge of pest management regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Skill in providing pest control services.
  • Skill in prioritizing work, and making adjustments on short notice.
  • Skill in promoting cooperation, building teamwork, and resolving conflict.
  • Ability to enter/exit structures and crawl spaces.
  • Ability to climb ladders over and on top of structures, including attics
  • Ability to use required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to inspect for pests, pest harborage, pest entries, etc.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently and regularly kneel, bend, stoop, crawl, ascend and descend stairs with and without equipment.
  • Ability to operate company vehicle without special accommodation.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Additional hours may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience

  • At least one year of Business to Business field sales experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver’s License with Clean Driving Record
