JOB DESCRIPTION- Customer Service Representative

Summary/Objective

The customer service representative is responsible for providing effective and excellent customer service for all customers by using in-depth knowledge of company services and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members.

Essential Job Functions

  • Representative will be engaging in a high volume of calls and will be required to assist with placement of orders, scheduling, routing, and setting up new customer accounts.
  • Process orders, forms, applications and requests.
  • Provides timely and accurate information to customersby problem solving customers issues with pests.
  • Processes customer orders/changes/etc. according to established department policies and procedures.
  • Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.
  • Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customer’s service expectations.
  • Enters order data into computer using company specified programs.
  • Record details of customer interactions, inquires, comments and complaints along with details and actions taken.
  • Organize workflow to meet customer time frames.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some mobility is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. This position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periods of time as well as reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED diploma
  • Prior related data entry and call handling experience and/or training is a must
  • Reliable Transportation to Assigned Office
